We're going to be in Patong for 4 full days/5 nights. 3 of our 4 days we've booked tours outside of Patong. We've booked our hotel in Patong already though and can't change but after reading about Patong, I'm thinking the atmosphere may be a bit rowdy for me for the duration so looking for suggestions on restaurants for different nights that might be outside the hustle/bustle seedier side of Patong.

Just tried Baan Rim Pa this week, Thai food very quiet restaurant, u also have a choice of Italian called Maurizio and they have a bar called Jo's, great food with piano music and fantastic sunset (they are all in the same place different floor)
I would not stay in patong too busy for my taste, we went quite far in khao lak at the Marriott and love it.
But u have a lot of great beaches closer to patong with great hotels and less busy.
Many great restaurants outside Patong area, including Tri Mom's Kitchen at Kata, see here for more info: http://milepoint.com/forums/threads/phuket-share-your-photos-of-jewel-of-the-andaman.2823/page-2#post-454108
But getting there from Patong is another issue especially dealing with those tuk-tuk scammers!
About Patong if you kind of enjoy nightlife I think you will be fine, but if you don't like busy/crowded place I'm sorry about that.
For Restaurant , If you would like to try Thai Food.
I would recommend 'Pan Yaah' Thai Restaurant go there in the evening it's the way going to Kamala.
Enjoy Phuket!
