Best place to buy real cheap designer bags ?

Hey there, we will be in Bangkok , samui and Chiang Mai within a week and I really wanted to buy some nice handbags !!! I have heard that both of these places are full of fakes which I'm not necessarily interested in unless the fake cannot be distinguished from the real one… Does anyone have any tips on where to buy them? Also not sure if that is true or not, but I've heard someone saying that you can find places where they sell real stuff that Sort of "fell off the truck" somewhere and didn't make it to the actual store… Is this true or a fake rumor? I would appreciate any tips for the girl that loves the handbags

Thanks so much !

You can buy fakes (not "fell off the truck" real bags), but why buy Western Fakes when you can buy real designer goods, by upcoming Thai designers? Also be aware that there are penalties for bringing fakes into the US.

Interesting, a request for where to find stolen (fell off the truck) goods. I suspect you could just locate stolen stuff at home and not bother with importing your hot bag. I wonder if warm weather would take the edge off a Thai prison or better just get locked up at home. Something else to research.

MmePerdu, it's been a long time since we got a question about fake designer stuff. I though maybe people had gotten smarter about it. But I guess not.

It doesn't sound to me like fake is what she's looking for. As if using a euphemism makes it cute instead of thoroughly tacky.

"Fake" is fake. "Fallen off the truck" is stolen and criminal. "Designer" automatically means expensive (although it can still be shoddy/tacky). "Craft" anything, especially beer, sends the price up. "Alternative facts" are lies. Plain speaking is all too rare these days.

In the Silom rd mall ,on Siloam rd BKK there is a bag store in the left hand wing of the mall . About half way back on the left. They make copy bags, good quality , many colors, great prices. Bargain hard, buy multiple for better prices. Try there for your bags.

Go to the Pratunam area visit Platinum Mall and Krung Thong Plaza and see if there is something you can use. If your hotel is on a Skytrain route you an walk from the Asia Hotel Ratchathewi Skytrain stop. Or walk from Ratachaprorop Rail Link stop and walk from there. MBK sells bags and all sorts of stuff and is off a Skyrain stop too.

Google search will give you information for these three places. Only you know if something tickles your fancy!

Yeah, not a good idea to bring lookalike counterfeit bags or stolen items home!
