Beijing Hutong walks revised--details offered

A while ago I posted an offer here to forward accounts of two walks around Beijing's back lanes (hutong) to anyone who wanted them, and I think about 300 people asked for copies before the posting finally dropped off the list somwhere.

I've been in Beijing five times in the past year and a few days ago had a chance to re-walk these two routes. Much of Beijing is being flattened; whole city blocks vanish almost overnight, and it's not surprising that I found considerable changes to one of the walks, and imminent change threatened to the other.

I've added details of these changes to the original articles, and more information about some of the buildings to be seen on these walks. If anyone who already has the information would like an updated version, or if anyone would like them for the first time, please post here, and I'll send them on.

Peter N-H
http://members.axion.net/~pnh/China.html

Peter,
I have read every single word of your many postings on Beijing, as my family is going there in March. I have read 3 guidebooks and not gleaned nearly as much practical, detailed and useful information as I have from your postings. THANK YOU for taking time to share your considerable knowledge!
And I would love a copy of your updated walking trips in Beijing.
Lindsey

PS Are you by any chance in the travel business? The vocabulary you used to describe some of the properties is quite familar from days in the hotel and incentive industry.
