Can anyone provide some insight:
1. We'll be visiting Pokhara and I checked the weather which seems quite cold at night --- can I expect heating in most hotels or should I pack extra warm clothes for sleeping?
2. Are ATMs a plenty in Kathmandu & Pokhara?
3. Visas: Are these issued at the airport upon arrival or should I def get one before departing?
Thanks!

Hello there,
Nepal is such a wonderful country for trekker and they do have lots of opportunity to interact with the people who have spend their village life around the himalayan side.
As your Question here:
1. We'll be visiting Pokhara and I checked the weather which seems quite cold at night --- can I expect heating in most hotels or should I pack extra warm clothes for sleeping?
My Answer:
At the movement the climate of Pokhara is 32Degree Celcious in the afternoon and 14Degree Celcious in the eveninbg and almost same climate at the morning, so I don't recommend you any sleeping bags and warm clothes,t'shirts and half pants is enough to wear at the afternoon and better if you have slodly warm clothes for evenings. And even you may buy some t-shirts,trousers and more there in pokhara. And about the hotels,it depends on your choice because if like to stay such a comfortable hotel then ofcourse they do have A/C Rooms and normal hotel can provide you fan but I am sure you won't get any cold if you are travelling there now.I think you got wrong informations that pokhara is cold for the movement.
Your Questions here:
2.Are ATMs a plenty in Kathmandu & Pokhara?
My Answer:
There are plenty of Atm's in Kathmandu but you should go to the tourist areas call Thamel where you will get Atm's and many more as well as you can find the ATM's in Pokhara Lake Side which is the major touristic area and you will get more excitement to be there and nice view of Fewa Lake as well as Fishtail Mountain(Machapuchre) from there....
Your Questions here:
3. Visas: Are these issued at the airport upon arrival or should I def get one before departing?
My Answer:
We do have only one International Airport which is call Tribhuvan International Airport and mostly people get visa there on immigration office and you should have US$ 30 to pay the visa fee(valid for 60 days) and if you are here only for 3 days then you shouldn't pay that amount.
So, I hope all this above details will help you to leave from your country and wish your happy journey to Nepal and please let us know further in you need any more questions at our mail address above..thanks
