Bangkok: Riverside Hotel Recommendations

As a change of pace, I'm thinking of staying in the Riverside area on my next visit to BKK in Aug. I know many of you prefer this area to Sukhumvit Road where I usually stay.

Id like a place with a good gym, nice pool (lap swim?) fairly easy access to the skytrain, and a room rate of around 4000 Baht or less per night.

Being close to a good massage, a pool table, and perhaps a lounge with a view would be a big plus, but not a deal breaker. Would also appreciate any recommendations on good thai restaurants that are close by.

My first thought was to stay at the Marriott Resort.
