Bangkok change of plan

Jump to last reply

Help please with a change foisted on us by Thai Airways.

The plan was to arrive back to BKK from Luang Prabang at 16.25 on 22 Feb and stay at the airport Novotel in order to catch morning flights on 23 Feb (husband back to Oz, me on to Yangon).

The flight Luang Prabang - BKK has been cancelled. We will have to leave LP a day early on 21 Feb, and therefore have about 36 hours in BKK

Would you go to somewhere riverside, or stay at the Novotel ? Or is there somewhere reasonably close to the airport you could recommend ? We would want 4 star, with some local shops/restaurants.

This will be fifth time to BKK so no need to see any sites.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions you may have.
