Bangkok-Angkok or Singapore-Bali

I am planning a trip from December 29 to January 15. I need suggestions and reports to decide between Bangkok-Angkok and Singapore-Bali. I have never been either of them. My decision will be based on weather, safety, and if there are enough activity and restaurant choices for New Year's Eve. I would like to see a few places but not spend too much packing and travel time between destinations.
