A quick note to update you all regarding scam experience in HoChiMInh City, Vietnam this spring. We used a local art gallery to commission 4 pieces of art work, paid in cash (mistake) and for shipping (more mistake) and obviously never received the goods. Many, many attempts at contacting the gallery through ourselves and various resources with no information forthcoming. Please advise others to avoid using Gia Tan Art Gallery at 43 Le Loi St, Dist 1 in HCM City, Vietnam. There are many many galleries to choose from to handle commissions so the loss of this one won't bother anyone.

The lesson to be learned here is to always use a credit card for major purchases that are to be shipped so that if the goods don't show up, you can file a dispute. Obviously, you have figured this out. Thanks for posting.
