I plan to travel around the world spending most of my 6 month trip in SE Asia. I have traveled in other parts of the world and understand the need to take as little as possible. But things like: guide books, appropriate clothes and/or gear for activitities in particlar areas, medication etc I will not want to carry the whole way. I am considering sending some trekking gear to Katmandu and sending it home when no longer needed. Is this easily done? Can I buy guide books along the way? Thanks for the responses.
