Read your report. You seem to be quite negative--did you have a bad experience overall, or was it just the tour operator you chose?

It seems like you were expecting US-style accomodations, or am I misreading you?

Frankie: I do not recall sending you a copy of my report. No, I did not expect US accommodations, we are experienced travelers. I did expect to be warmer at night than we were - 50 degrees inside the lodge room was cold, with insufficient covering.
I did expect competency from Overseas Adventure Travel, which we did not get. Ker Downey in Nepal was excellent.
I did expect more time to interact with the villagers, we merely passed through with no communication. Had I stopped I would have held up the group.
For the price of the Vajra Hotel I expected more. There are excellent hotels in Kathmandu for $50, not $120. Yes, our price was included in the $3000 we paid for the trip.
If you would read my Thailand journal, we had a great time there - without dubious benefit of tour operator.
