Any advice on discounted business class ticket?
I would love to visit Asia again but have terrible memories of 24 hours in a cramped economy class seat. Next time I want to go Business Class! Though wonder if I can afford it.
Does anyone have any advice on how to get discounted BUSINESS CLASS airline tickets? Thanks! (No I do not have any frequent flyer miles- already been used up)

Hi Travdis, I know a travel agent in New York that has access to deeply discounted Business Class tickets. I flew in Business Class from NYC to Bangkok last May for less than $2500 round-trip on All Nippon Airways through this agent. If you need the agent's details feel free to contact me on [email protected]. Cheers, Nancy

I found the website www.itasoftware.com on this forum a couple of months ago. Go to Demonstrations, then Looking for Airfares. You can log in as a guest. Most of the major carriers support this site. Find the itin you want, then book with either the airline directly, or try expedia.com or other online booking site. I agree with you - coach class on flights this long should be avoided if you can afford it! PassportControl - I'm taking All Nippon out of Washington DC for my first trip to BKK in Feb and am looking forward to the experience!

CJackson - All Nippon was great, but the only negative from IAD is that they are using a 777 with the "old" style business class. I took a 747-400 from JFK with "new" style business class and first class and it was really super. Even aside from the seat type, I found ANA's excellent service to strongly compete with Cathay and Singapore. Have a great trip!

Watch carefully for specials...from time to time, Z class (deep discount business class) is available. You've got to be quick to get it as they don't sell many seats at deep discount at all.
There are some specialty travel agents that deal in discount business/first class seats. A number of years ago, a friend booked an around the world ticket in all business/first class through Airbrokers International out of San Francisco...his fare was great and his tickets worked out just fine.
Deeply discounted/bucket shop tickets often are not eligible for airline frequent flyer miles...but if you don't travel often enough for that to matter, or the fare is so cheap that it doesn't matter, searching for the cheap but good seats is time well spent! You could start by doing a web search for cheap business class international tickets...the agencies will usually ask you for your destination(s) and your dates and they'll get back to you with a quote...which is almost always well below what you would find on published fares sites like expedia or travelocity etc.
Don't blame you for wanting to fly business class...but beware...once you do it, you'll have an even harder time flying economy!

PassportControl - Yep, I found out we've got the "old" seats - AFTER I read all about Club ANA. But we're flying to the East coast from Chicago, and we decided we didn't want to deal with the LGA/JFK switch - especially coming home! Oh well...an old seat in biz is better than a new seat in coach -carol

Nothing compares to Singapore A.L.'s flights - you don't need business class as the new A600's are capable of seating 300, but are configured for something like 180. The entire flight is more or less B.C., except 1st class is much more grand. Use Singapore!
