Re my earlier post on tour guides/companies, I am now considering an independent tour guide to take us to our destinations. I know there are many guides out there, but has anyone heard of Sarath Chandrasekara? Web site is srilankatourguide.com. He was highly recommended on TripAdvisor and his correspondence with us has been encouraging. Thanks.

I'm confused by your question. When I click on the link, it comes up with a travel agency that can set up trips for you (just like all the other companies recommended in response to your previous post). It is not the website for a particular guide. So is the person you name the proprietor of the travel agency or is he a driver/guide?
When you hire a driver, whether through an agency or as a free-lancer, that person supplies the car and drives you from place to place. But don't mistake that person for a guide. When you go to any of the ancient cities, for instance, if you are interested in knowing anything about them, you'll want a guide for that site. It's quite inexpensive - just a few dollars - to get a guide certified for that location. Your driver may know especially good guides at the various places, but don't use your driver as a guide.
Have you read any of the trip reports here? Choose Sri Lanka from the drop-down menu and you'll find lots of information.
I have a trip report here:

and photos here: www.marlandc.com/SriLanka/index.htm
Thanks Kathie--Woops,I dropped a letter when I typed in the web site. It's www.srilankantourguide.com. And I have read most of the Sri Lanka posts (not yours yet; will get to that this afternoon)--I was just curious if anyone had any specific knowledge of this driver/guide.
Sorry, I have knowledge of this particular guide. His website is nice, though.
