This may seem like a very silly question to ask- but since I try to be respectful of other cultures I thought I would ask anyway.

I tend to wear brighter colored nail polish. Is this going to be offensive in any way while we are in Thailand, or should I change what I normally wear to a more subtle color? I know Thais are more conservative, but I have not seen or read anything about personal apprearance in reagrd to this.

Any thoughts?

You will have no problem at all with bright nail polish in Thailand and many Thai ladies do the same thing everyday.

Well, I am not a Katoey, but it is a tradition for us that when we go to thailand I get a pedicure with my wife. All the thai women working at the place we go to just laugh and laugh. Bob, I will send you a pic of it so you can laugh to! I am not sure what kind of stuff they use but it is REALLY hard to get it off!!!!!!!!!

actually thai women wear much brighter colors than we do in America. Black is not the norm as it is here.

A lady boy is a Thai guy that does a really good job of looking like a woman. The Thai guys are about the best at it.
