We have an 8 hr layover in singapore from 1:00 to 9:00. Any suggestions? Can't go sightseeing in the middle of the nite. Is there someplace we could rest and wash up?

Trip Report - 5 1/2 days in Luang Prabang

Singapore's Changi Airport is a 24 hr operation. There's a movie theatre, very large games room, restaurants an snacks bars and shopping, plenty to keep you busy, also quiet areas to relax. The airport is quiet between about 3 and 5 a.m but there will be lots of other people around all in transit.
There are transit rooms which can be booked in adavnce ( these get full but you can book in advance if you want to sleeep, rooms are basic but a/c TV shower )or you just pay to use the shower facilities so you can wash and change, there is also a GYM but not sure if open all night.
I topped a prior thread about this very subject.
We stayed at the transit hotel in the airport in March. It was really basic, but clean and fairly cheap, even offered tea/coffee in the room. The airport is very quiet at that time of night, so not sure you can do anything else, but I would recommend the transit rooms for a hot shower and quick sleep! Be sure to book ahead, they have a website and I think the official name is the Ambassador Transit Hotel.
Transit Hotel is absolutely the way to go. I've stayed there 7 times. It's great. Terminal 2 Transit Hotel is the one you want (International Terminal.)
Book thru their website.
