7-10 Day Beach Holiday November

We have around a week to 10 days for a beach holiday at the end of November. Where is a good place for a (young at heart) couple in our late 40's-50's? We have travelled a lot in our careers to many countries and really just want to chill with some nice places to eat and enjoy good weather during the English winter season! We love Thailand, but would consider anywhere in Asia. Also, any recommendations for mid-range accommodation or "bargain luxury" accommodation would be welcome. thanks.

Do you want to play golf during your holiday? If that's important than there are two beach area with some very good golf courses - Phuket and Hua Hin.

Langkawi off the Andaman coast of Malaysia is worth a look. Air Asia are doing some really cheap flights from Stanstead at the moment. http://www.bontonresort.com/ is a nice, non chain place.

The Andaman Sea (west) side of Thailand or Malaysia will have great weather in the end of November. The rainy season switches from that side to the other side in October. The early part of November may have a bit more rain. Phuket or Krabi will suit. Both have a wide range of hotels.

I second Bon Ton in Langkawi, we LOVED it. We were there last November weather was OK (some sunny days some rain)
I also loved Hua Hin (we were there in November 06) and stayed at the Hyatt regency (in a club room) again fantastic great weather, lovely place.

Hey I can suggest two great places! November in Australia is beautiful as it is the start of our summer I live on the Sunshine Coast in Queensland and it is always beautiful with the best beaches in the world!! Mooloolaba is the favourite destination for visitors with accommodation galore right on the beach. With the pound double the aussie dollar it's a cheap holiday. www.airasia.com is doing dirt cheap flights from Stansted to Kuala Lumpur and Kuala Lumpur to the Gold Coast,Qld. The Gold Coast is also a beautiful holiday destination with beautiful beaches but more lively. The other destination I would suggest is Bali,Indonesia. We go there quite a lot stay Kuta Town Houses it's a lovely place to stay near beaches, cafes and shopping. Check out their website as well. Air Asia is doing cheap flights from Stansted to KL and KL to Bali as well.
