50+ travelling solo in Vietnam - where to stay in Hanoi

Jump to last reply

First timer travelling alone - over 50 female so I have decided to do a tour from Saigon to Hanoi to get me started but I am just wondering if anyone has any suggestions for accommodation in Hanoi as thinking of staying on another 3 days after the tour ends.

I am too old for hostels but the good thing about hostels you don't feel cut off like you do in a hotel room as most hostels have a social lounge area where you can meet and chat with other travellers.

Can anyone suggest a friendly safe place to stay probably in the old quarter area?

I have looked at trip advisor but they don't really say where are good places to stay for older single like minded travellers. Thanks so much
