Greetings all,
I'm planning a 6-day trip to Seoul this coming September. I have a 3GS iPhone and was wondering if the telcos in S. Korea have pre-paid SIM cards for tourists so I can get one and enjoy internet access while on the go? I've tried surfing for info but haven't been successful.
Any help on this (info or links) will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance!

I don't think you will be able to buy a sim card. Korea is on a different type of system and "foreigners" have to comply with lots of regulations to buy a cell phone usable in their country. I received an email from one cell phone rental company about being able to buy a sim card. This is the link to their sim card offering: http://www.sroaming.com/eng/Product/simcard.asp
As their website says, this deal is "special" and is only good for about a month.
I am in Korea every summer for about six weeks and I just rent a phone at the airport. Check the "Visit Korea" website for any deals and the various companies that rent phones. You must rent one at the airport....as far as I can tell, it is the only location that does rentals.
Hi gailmo,

Thanks very much for your reply and the attached link. Will contact the phone rental company for more information.
I'm having my fingers crossed that what they are offering is what I'm looking for.
