36 Hours in Manila with a Baby and Seeking Hotel Recommendations
The title says it all! My husband and I are visiting Manila for 36 hours with our 13 month old. Does anyone have any recommendations on how to maximize our time in Manila? Hotel recommendations for a small family? We are considering staying in Makati (Fairmont? Shangri-La Makati? Peninsula?) but are also looking at the Sofitel Hotel. What time is considered "rush hour"?
Is whole milk for the baby (not powdered) readily available in Manila? I've already posted this topic in the Japan forum and was wondering the same thing about milk in Manila.
Finally, where can we get some amazing chicken adobo?
Thank you!

Fairmont and Shangri-la is adjacent to the mall (Glorietta, Greenbelt, SM) so I think it would be the better choice for you.
Rush hour is usually 6-9am and 5pm onwards. But if you're considering the rush hour bcoz of traffic, sad to say but nowadays every hour is considered a rush hour.
About the adobo, you can try Fely J's at Greenbelt5. It's a Filipino restaurant famous for their dilis rice. Though I haven't tried their adobo since I can always have one at home.
Afraid can't help much on the milk thing though.
Hope this helps!

Post is a little old. Did you go already? They sell milk in aseptic cartons. I don't think you can find fresh milk. Makati is the "best" area to stay in. I love the Philippines and the Filipinos but not a fan of Manila. Maybe you can take a day trip to somewhere nice like Tagaytay and Taal Volcano.

Rush hour is every hour now in Manila, pick is really in the morning and after office 5-8pm
You can find milk everywhere in Manila, Wine as well for the daddy
Chicken Adobo, any restaurant in Greenbelt, don't try in the street please, even if it might be good and cheap.
Hope you had fun in Manila, even for a few hours

I'm not sure if you went already but in case you haven't, Makati and BGC (Taguig) areas are best because there's a lot of malls and parks that has everything for the 3 of you. If you're interested, Manila Ocean Park also has a hotel called H2O where you can stay in a room surrounded by large aquariums (with real fishes!). I bet the baby will love the view. It's also somehow near the airport so you can just easily take a cab or Uber to go back to the airport since you're only staying for 36 hours.
About the milk, you can find them in grocery stores at the malls and in any S&R. Some convenience stores have them as well.
