3 full days post work in Singapore
Hello!
I have a work trip to Singapore in early December and am considering doing a 3-day excursion somewhere in SE Asia that will work with my flights. I am free full 3 days, Friday Dec 11-Sun Dec 13. I have to fly home via Hong Kong on Cathay Pacific on Monday, Dec 14. I do not want to explore Singapore as it is not my first time and I do not want to go to Kuala Lumpur as I have already done that on a previous trip. Some of the places I would love to visit are:
1. Bali
2. Hanoi/Hao Long Bay
3. Siem Reap/Angor Wat
4. Phuket
but not sure if 3 days is too little? Are there other places in SE Asia that would be good for 3 days?

Three full days is the perfect amount of time for the Temples of Angkor. Pick up a copy of Dawn Rooney's book, "Angkor: A guide to Cambodia's Wondrous Temples."
Three days is not enough for Hanoi/Halong Bay.
Three days would be ok for any beach location: Phuket, a beach in Malaysia, Lombok.
Bali is lovely. If you opt for Bali, I'd suggest staying in or near Ubud rather than at a beach (there are nicer beach places, but Bali's culture is unique).
Other places I'd consider with 3 days from Singapore: Georgetown, Penang; or Bangkok, Central Java (Yogyakarta area).

Unfortunately, the only direct flight to Siem Reap from Sing is in late afternoon so I feel like I lose a whole day and there are no directs from there to Hong Kong..so as much as I want to visit there..not sure I can make it work. The same goes with Yogyakarta. No directs to HK. I think I rather opt out of Penang. With that out as well as Hanoi/Hao Long Bay since you say I need more than 3 days..that leaves Bali, Phuket, Bangkok. We are narrowing it down!

Bangkok and Hanoi definitely have the most connections to/from Sing and HK. One other question since you said I need more time in Hanoi/Hao Long Bay..I see there are tours/options to visit Hao Long Bay and the islands on a day trip from Hanoi. Would 2 days in Hanoi+day trip to HLB not be sufficient?

People who have done the day trip to Halong Bay have all panned it - it is about 10 hours on a boring drive plus a brief boat ride on the bay. Personally, I think it would be a waste of your valuable time. A three-day trip to Hanoi would be worthwhile - you won't see "everything" but you would get a taste of this fascinating city.

You shouldn't have a problem finding non-stop flights from Singapore to Bali and from Bali to Hong Kong that fit your schedule.
December is officially the rainy season in Bali and not the best time for the beach. This year, however, has been exceptionally dry so you may get more sun than rain.
With three days in the Ubud area you could get a good taste of Balinese arts and culture in a phenomenally beautiful natural setting.
If Angkor is really your first choice you might check the actual flying/airport time of connecting through Phnom Penh. There are several flights between Siem Reap and Phnom Penh and the connections are efficient.
