2nd location on the beach

We are going to Phuket in March and are wanting to do one other location. As of now we have decided on Krabi. Is that a nice location for sunsets and such? Just trying to avoid another flight to some of the other locations I have seen....

I've read your other recent questions, and I'd highly recommend that you choose just one beach location. You can do all of the activities you want from one location, and changing locations just takes up your precious honeymoon time. The minimum time you lose with a location change is half a day. Instead of relaxing and enjoying yourselves, you are packing, checking out, getting transport, checking in and unpacking.

Choose a place in Phuket or Krabi, then relax and enjoy.

I'll happily second that. Unless you plan on going to any other part of Thailand, follow Kathie's advice. I might imagine that you might enjoy two or three nights on PhiPhi, explore what's left of the beauty and nature in the morning and at night, avoiding the thousands of tourists coming in during daytime.

Also, Krabi /= Ao Nang, both of which are quite touristy places. Koh Yao Noi might be worth a shot as a nice retreat, if you feel like you have to switch locations.

I would avoid ao nang---way toooo touristy... go for the area where the Sheraton krabi is located and also pick your Phuket destination very carefully to avoid disappointment as so much of it is low life touristic

I also support only one beach area..

have you considered hua hin instead??> no flt required

But the beaches at Hua Hin aren't nearly as beautiful as those on the Andaman Sea.

In another post, she said they were looking at the Trisara, a really lovely hotel with a nice beach.

I've just bagged v.good vfm flights in and out of Phuket between 14 March - 11 April.

I'm not sure yet how we'll spend out time, but at the moment our only definite area to stay, for a week or so is in Khao Lak, which is an hour or so by road north of Phuket Airport on the Andaman Sea.

We might stay in Phuket for a while, but I'll be choosing where to stay very carefully.

The Centara Grand in Hua Hin is an amzing hotel and would make a great honeymoon destination

LL might bump into you in Khaio Lak as we are likely to be in Khao Lak from mid March for a few days with my in laws.
