2 weeks in Southeast Asia - ideas?
My boyfriend and I are planning on going to Southeast Asia this June for two weeks. We'd really like some advice on how we're best to make use of that time! Neither of us have ever been to SEA so we're complete virgins. We're interested in sunshine, gorgeous beaches, historical sight-seeing and experiencing some real culture like local food, meeting local people, seeing how they live their lives! Probably like most other people we want to see and experience the best places and activities but hopefully stay away from the very crowded tourist areas. As this is a big ask - we'd definitely be happy with a balance of more quiet undiscovered gems and the absolute must-sees. Ideally we'd have some relaxing beach days as well as some sight-seeing. The countries that attract us the most are Thailand, Vietnam and Cambodia but after lots of research we thought it might be worth putting the question out there - what should we do with two weeks in Southeast Asia??

Well sunshine and June in SEA don't usually mix, it is rainy season after all!
Also best places will be touristy in general Good news is, you'll be there in the low season, so a place like Angkor which is touristy (meaning lots of tourists, not like Disney) will be less-so in the summer.
I'd say do at least 5 days in SR for Angkor, then possibly Thailand for beaches, however it will be a gamble with the rain!
