In Puerto Rico right now and reading "Where China Meets India" - things are changing rapidly...
Gpanda is smiling down upon the revival of the ekscrunchy syllabus.
We eagerly await the opening of the Luc Besson film about ASSK here in Boston.
For anyone else impatiently awaiting these films, I can recommend the book BURMESE LESSONS by Karen Connolly.
EKS, I hope you are able to go to the documentary screening with Lieberman available for a Q&A.
Yes, I can't believe how quickly things are changing. The Schwedagon Festival, which has been outlawed for more than 20 years is being allowed to take place this year in Yangon (right now!). It's really amazing!
Marya I am putting Burmese Lessons on my library list right now. Thank you!!
And will top the boof thread in honor of the Panda.
This one looks great..thanks, Craig!

For Thailand "The Lady" has been out in theater for about a week. Not doing too well at the box office....
From Thailand a lot of Burmese workers going back to their country in hope of a better life after the election. I fear that the old soldiers have something up their sleeves though.
Thanks SO much for your post with the link,l ekscrunchy!! I just ordered the DVD.
