We're booked on the Singapore flight from Newark going to Hanoi. Newark to Singapore is 19 hours nonstop. We've done long flights before (12 hours non-stop)but wondering if anyone has taken this particular flight. We are thinking we might want to spend a couple of days in Singapore before continuing on to Hanoi. Any suggestions?

a very good suggestion....doesn't that flight stop anyplace??
If you are on the non-stop EWR to Singapore that is operated by an Airbus A-340-500. In the Coach/Economy you have just 7 seats across instead of the normal 8, ( i.e 2 x 3 x 2 ) so the seats are wider, you also get extra legroom and enhanced service, it is a 'Premium' Coach service so you should enjoy. The seatback TV/entertainment is superb on SQ.
I 'think' someone did a report on a LAX-SIN non stop on Singapore Airlines a while back.
