16 days in China - decisions with a couple places

Jump to last reply

We are 2 couples in our 50's going on a private tour. We are including Beijing, Xian, Shanghai, Guilin and a couple nights in Hong Kong. I recently spoke with someone who did not go to Guilin but rather went to Kunming and Lijiang. Lijiang sounds charming but I think is further West. Should we stick to the original plan (i.e. Guilin) for our first time to China?
Any suggestions Please!!!
