1,5 days Kuala Lumpur itinerary

Jump to last reply

Hi together,

our asia trip in spring 2016 is getting closer. As we have a quite ambitious agenda (KUL, SIN, REP, HKG) I am currently planning the trip as detailed as possible.

I came up with an itinerary for our 1,5 days in Kuala Lumpur and would highly appreciate your feedback on it. I am especially unsure about the right mode of transport in KL (rapid KL vs. cab vs. Hop-on-hop-off bus vs. GO KL bus). My itinerary currently relies on rapid KL, but I am not sure if my planned distances are really walkable.

The itinerary would be as follows (chronological order)

Day 0
Arrival by international flight from Europe in KL at 5pm - nothing planned for rest of day.

Day 1

1) KLCC
Transport: Our Hotel is directly located at KLCC station.
What to see:
Petronas Twin Towers
KLCC Park

2) Chinatown & Little India
Transport: rapid KL from KLCC station to Masjid Jamek station:
What to see:
Masjid Jamek
Masjid India
Merdeka Square
Sultan-Abdul-Samad-Building
Central Market & Kasturi Walk
See-Yeoh Temple
Petaling Street
Sri-Mahamariamman Temple

3) Lake Gardens
Transport: rapid KL Pasar Seni to KL Sentral
What to see:
Perdana Botanical Garden
KL Bird Park
KL Butterfly Park
Masjid Negara

4) Bukit Nanas
Transport: rapid KL Pasar Seni to Dang Wangi
What to see:
Bukit Nanas
Menara KL Tower

5) By foot back to KLCC

Day 2:

1) Batu Caves
Transport: rapid KL from KLCC to KL Sentral, KTM Komuter from KL Sentral to Batu Caves
What to see:
Batu Caves (4hours planned in total, including transport from/to KLCC)

2) At 3:30 pm Aeroline bus from KL to Singapore (departs near KLCC).

What do you think of my itinerary? Is it doable? Did I miss something?

Highly appreciate your feedback.

Thanks
