Hi, i am spending 6-8 weeks in Thailand and I'm considering spending 10 nights on Ko Pangnan. I was just enquiring if 10 nights is too long? What are you thoughts? What do you think about Ko Pangnan.

Well, you know what you enjoy. If you would be content to spend 10 days on a beach where there isn't really much else to do besides lay on/walk on the beach. wade/swim in the water or drink at bars, then do it. If you would get bored, you might want to consider other options.

Just as kathie says, if all you want to do is relax then 'maybe', remember that you are only a boat ride from Koh Samui so a mix of says 6 nights on Koh Phangan and then 4 on Samui if you wanted a lively place tto make a balance.
Note that if you are flying then you would be going thru Koh Samui anyway.
If you are taking the road/boat combination via Chumphon then you would add to options of where else you could stop.

personally i love koh tao much more as it is one of a kind in scenary and experience. koh phangnan is a bit less developed than koh samui now, but relatively it lacks a particular charm. "party" seems to be the only theme there - with no moon parties, half moon parties and full moon parties where you're required to stay a minimum of 3 nights (?) in one hotel. but if you don't like koh samui because of all the hassle, koh phangnan may be good enough.

Koh phangana is beautiful island but i think you should go to koh chang island in ranong province. one bunglow is just for 250 baht. there are 18 bunglows in this island.check my photos of thailand at www.photosthailand.com
