1 week in Taiwan, and 1 week....?
This is probaly an annoying question. But here it goes. I bought a roundtrip ticket to Taiwan for a total stay of 2 weeks.
Who knows the next time i'll be in Asia. So I figure I would hang out in Taiwan for a week then I wanted to head somewhere else for a week. The problem is I'm on a limited budget. Is there anyone out there who has stayed in Taiwan and then bought a ticket to somewhere else that was really cheap (flight)? Or maybe remember there being low fares to another country when walking pass a travel agent? When I say limited budget, I don't really want to pay more than $250us on a roundtrip ticket. I'm a male and and I'm up for anything. China is do-able, I'm in the process of getting my Visa now. Any suggestions would so greatly be appreciated. Also I plan on buying a ticket while I'm there in Taiwan.

Just a note in passing that there is no direct link from Taiwan to mainland China. You will have to travel via either Japan or Hong Kong, with the latter being the obvious choice.

Peter N-H
http://members.axion.net/~pnh/China.html

The ticket from Taiwan to china is uaually not cheap. And if you stay in China, everything is expensive because ATM is not everywhere.Maybe you can thinking about somewhere else but not China,Philippines or Thailand.I am in Taiwan, and i like to spend holidays in southeast Asia. It,s much cheaper than japan,China, and HK.

Personally, after working in Taiwan for 3 weeks, I would only spend 1 or 2 nights there and then move on to cool places like Hong Kong or Japan.

I once described Taiwan as being a place where everything is either worn or broken.

Perhaps I saw it that way because I was there to work for 21 days straight.

Air travel between Taiwan and China is strained because of the ongoing political attitudes of the 2 countries.
