I procrastinate when it comes time to booking plane tickets--especially for Thanksgiving and my December holiday plans---which are often up in the air until just a few weeks before.
You are probably ahead of the game and never book late...but if you were me---what sites and strategies would you use to nab the lowest fare possible?

If you're willing to travel actually ON a holiday like Thanksgiving Day or Christmas Day sometimes that helps.
I have always had good luck booking through the airlines last minute for Xmas trip to Florida on the last minute. Just be open on the days and times.
Don't feel bad - in September we booked Thanksgiving ticket for dtr and found fare was double what it is on non-holiday weekend. Just checked - price is still double.
I have not found any site that is better than usuals of kayak, Travelocity and individual airline sites. Only real way to save money is by flying at weird times or routes - something I especially don't want to do at holiday time - too many opportunities for delays.
