Who to call for a problem with American Airlines?

Military grandson coming home for Christmas from Wichita Falls flight was cancelled. He was told it was a mechanical problem and flight would not be rescheduled unit the next day but if he and 11 other GI's could find a way to Dallas they could fly out there. They took a cab (a very nice civilian gentleman paid $200.00 of that fare) American Airlines told them they would pay for a hotel in Dallas until the flight took off later that next morning. No hotel. Our grandson spent the night at the airport. Daughter called AA this morning to ask for compensation and was told there would be none. She called the Customer Relations number. What other number can she call? Someone a little higher up? Thank you.

Email customer relations with all the details - all of them - and be patient. This time of year it can take several days before the response. Pay particular attention to the details about who promised accommodation at DFW - that's key in this case.

This is an indirect answer to your question. Go to Flyertalk, post on the American Airlines | AAdvantage forum. If one of those people can't answer it, send a PM to JDiver, Senior Moderator/Moderator: American AAdvantage. http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/priva...o=newpm&u=2612

Last year I had a problem with AA and he told me exactly whom to contact (by name & complete title) and whom to copy, at corporate HQ at DFW. The problem was resolved in my favor with 25K FF miles for me and for my wife and a personal phone call from the executive offices @DFW apologizing for what happened. Those contacts were invaluable.
