Which flight- help me make a decision

I don't know what's wrong with me this week but I can't seem to decide on which flight I should book for my trip to Provence. Can anyone see any real advantage or disadvantage to either of these itineraries? They are about the same price and the return flights will be the exact same flight itinerary, so I don't need opinions on the return. Flying coach.

10:05a-12:45p Spokane to SLC Delta
4:50p-11:05a SLC to Paris (Boeing 767-300)
1:10p-2:35p Paris to Marseilles

or

10:30a-11:37 Spokane to Seattle
1:40p-8:30a Seattle to AMS (Airbus A330)
12:05p-1:55p AMS to Marseilles

I would choose AMS

Leaves later, arrives earlier. Shorter layover at US airport, but long enough so should be no issues. Longer layover at Europe airport, so plenty of time to make the connection to Marseille.

zoecat, I have found it easier to connect in Amsterdam than at CDG. Schiphol is much more user-friendly.

I agree on AMS for ease of connecting. I am not that hates CDG like some people, but is just big compared to AMS

Thank you for your input! I do like connecting in AMS and have not done a connection at CDG for a long time (I think only once, back in 1996).

I'm probably going to book the AMS flight, but I will ask two more questions-

If I fly through CDG, would I need to change terminals to make my connection to Marseille?

Any advantage one aircraft over the other?

Re CDG terminals, that might depend on whether you arrive on Air France or a US flag carrier. Have you checked where your airline's flights land today at CDG?

Any advantage one aircraft over the other?

Delta operates a variety of 767-300s, but many are still lacking individual video screens in coach. The A330s (former Northwest planes) have slightly wider seats and do have individual video, so the combination of AMS plus the A330 would ice the deal for me.

You will go through passport control at either AMS or CDG; combined with the shorter transit time in Paris and the possible need to change terminals (not that familiar with DL>AF connections) - again, AMS comes out the winner.

Thank you all for your input. I went with the AMS flight. I hate it when I don't have individual video. Thank you Gardyloo for that information!
