Westjet tips

Was on my first Westjet flight (flies to/from Canada) recently and just wanted to pass on some thoughts.

Seat selection is $10 one way. You can add this after you book as well. However, I found out that you can choose seats when you check-in online 24hrs before departure (or of course when you get to the airport). I originally paid the fee and when I found out, I phoned to have the Seat Selection fee removed - standard procedure, very easy.

When I checked in online, there were lots of seats available. This was for flights on Dec 16 and 26.

We departed from Vancouver and I was surprised that the gate agent even weighed the carry-ons.

Overall, the friendly and courteous staff, pretzels and cookies as snacks, and personal inflight TVs made for a good flight.
