At the end of March I have a very early flight from the Oakland Airport. I used to have info for a man with a van that we used several times. I can't find it. Would appreciate suggestions for very inexpensive transportation to the airport. If I drove it would probably take no more than half an hour.

As I noted in my original post I'm not more than half an hour away from the airport, probably faster at that time of the morning. How cheap is cheap? Hopefully less than $50.

maybe those who know you know more about you but how would anyone know how cheap cheap is for you?And 1/2 hr from OAK could be A LOT of places depending on how fast you drive, north or south etc. OAK is only 35 min from San Rafael if you drive fast.

anyway since you want o be cagey I'll throw out, if oyu are served by Uberx it could be as cheap as $20-30. Google Uber and see if it's a service you'd consider.

You can go to Super Shuttle site and put in your exact address to get a price. Other shuttles probably can also give an estimate online or if you call them.
From Berkeley Super Shuttle is $29.

Super Shuttle is very reliable. Many others are not. You can confirm, they confirm. It gives one a feeling of confidence. At that hour you can't afford to have them not show .

I am curious what you ended up doing. I need an early morning ride to OAK coming from the Hilton at Union Square. My flight leaves at 6:30am and the Bart doesn't run earlier enough for me to get there 2 hours ahead. I have to figure out something else that won't be expensive. Do you have any advice? judy: Giovanni lives on the other side of the Bay Area -- anything she might use wouldn't be relevant to a trip over from Union Square/SF.

Having to be at OAK that early -- staying at Union Square is pretty inconvenient. You'll have to take a taxi or book a limo or maybe uber.


(Just a hint -- it is usually best to get responses on the threads instead of asking for personal e-mails. Especially when one is new)

Consider staying your last night at a hotel near OAK. There are some decent ones and most have shuttle service, just be sure it works 24/7. Some don't start services early enough.
