United: Mo' Miles + Mo' Money?

Jump to last reply

Late January I booked flights to Paris - my first ever time using FF miles with United.
I opted for the "miles + money" option and it was 25k miles + $405.

Two weeks later, I checked options again and the same flights were 27,500 miles + $470.

I'm glad I booked when I did, but now I wonder if increases like this are very common?
I'm pretty sure there was no notice about increases in my email, etc.
Just wondering what to expect down the road - thanks for any advice.
