United Airways and Air Canada luggage

Jump to last reply

I am flying to Frankfurt with United Airways and a connecting flight with Air Canada. Then on the return trip, doing the inverse(Air Canada then United)
I am planning on not checking anything; bringing a bag that is 22" x 14" x 9, as well as a personal carry on item which is a backpack 17''x13'' x7''
Does anyone have experience with these airlines? I'm wondering if this is acceptable. I called both airlines, and they said they "think it should be ok." I want a definite answer. Checking is expensive.
