Found application site on TSA web
Type in zip code and up comes 5 application fairly close, I chose near Sacramento rather than San Francisco because i knew the area and traffic congestion.
The site has directions/maps to print or just put address into GPS.
I picked area with less traffic, went 11 AM....can make appointments but decided just to drop in.
Waited 10 min. application processed in10-15 min. , paid $85..
Types of ID explained online site..Can even use expired passport, as long as not expired over a year..
Received papers in mail in 6 working days.
They do take fingerprints of all 10 fingers...all done electronically...
