We are thinking of traveling to Barbados in early July. Do you think it is to early to purchase tickets? I think that it would be better to wait, they are very high right now. We would be doing this through our timeshare so we do not need hotel. We would be leaving from PHL but can leave from EWR or JFK for a signicant savings. Any thoughts? I know it is hard to know these things.

It's awful difficult to predict whether future airfares to any given destination will be higher or lower than they are now. That said, it's probably a bit early to book as there's always a chance for fluctuation, either up or down.
Your best bet is to monitor airfares to your destination and when you see a fare that looks good to you and that you can live with "book it".
Hint: Sign up for air fare alerts with your airline(s) of choice and on sites like kayak.com - you'll be notified when or if there's an airfare sale to your destination.
You are fortunate that you can travel via three different airports as that will give you more options.
Thanks roamsaround. That seems like a great idea. It is just I have to book and use my points for the timeshare and if I should change my mind due to ridiculous air fares I will loose the points. I will sign up for the kayak.com that does seem like a great site.
