Ticketed Name entered incorrectly. Help……

Can anyone advise on this issue.

Recently I brought 3 tickets for a Mother and 2 children. The trip involves London to Hong Kong. Then Hong Kong to Thailand before returning to Hong Kong, then London.

However whilst booking the tickets, I unfortunately mixed the children’s names.
The Children’s names have 4 parts to them, last being the surname.

These are their “real” names
Child #1 AAA BBB CCC Surname
Child #2 DDD EEEE FFF Surname

Unfortunately, whilst booking, I entered in
Child #1 AAA BBB CCC Surname
Child #2 AAA EEEE FFF Surname

For the Child #2, I used the same first part name as the Child #1.
The tickets are booked with Expedia and the Carriers are British Airways (London to Hong Kong) and Dragon Air (Hong Kong to Thailand).

I reported the problem to Expedia within 24 hours of the booking.
Expedia says, they can correct the name, but British Airways needs to authorise it (as the change involves more than 3 characters).

Unfortunately, British Airways sees this as a body change and won’t authorise it. They are also claiming because more than one airline are involved. A change can result to all 3 tickets being cancelled.

It’s now one month since the booking, I’ve spent many hours talking to Expedia and British Airways, but still unable to make any grounds to getting this issue resolved.
Can anyone advise on how I can resolve this?
