If I buy two tickets on United for December '09, then in a month change the dates of travel (within 30 days) I know I will pay the difference in ticket price but how much is the change fee per ticket?

http://www.reuters.com/article/marketsNews/idUSN2038347820080420 says in April ticket change fee was going from $100 to $150 - could be dearer than a ticket by next year! at that rate.
Go to the airline for accurate information. It differs for domestic vs international flights.

Domestic travel:
- Non-refundable fare: Subject to change fee of $150.00 and any possible fare difference based on changes made.
International travel:
- Non-refundable fare: Subject to rules of the fare. Call United Reservations to change. Please note: Some fares cannot be changed, some you can only buy up on, some have a change fee of anywhere from $150 - $250 and then may only allow exchange before travel has started or sometimes only after travel has started.
