Looking at flight from St. Louis connecting thru Dallas to Puerto Vallarta on American Airlines. The flight to Puerto Vallarta is located in a different terminal. Will we have to go thru security again? How much time for a stress free connection.
Thanks very much.

You can go between terminals at DFW without leaving the secure area - simply take the SkyLink Tram - there are two stations in each terminal. it's quick and easy - the trams run every few minutes and it takes no more than 10 minutes to get between the two furthest apart terminals - less time if you go between closer terminals. Also, you can walk inside the secure area between the four terminals that AA uses - there are "sky bridges" that link them. Obviously, walking takes more time but works very well if you happen to land at a gate near the "sky bridge" in one terminal and leave from a gate near the bridge at the other terminal. Go here for a map and more info: http://www.dfwairport.com/connect/index.php
FYI - American Airlines uses Terminals A, B, C & D.
Just the other day we went between Terminal D and A in less than 7 minutes using the SkyLink tram.
