Southwest - new boarding procedures?

Just check in for tomorrow, and got a notification - new boarding procedures for this airport, and no other explanations.

What are they, anybody knows?

Flying out of Oakland, CA.

One thing noticed so far: before they sent an e-mail 24 hrs in advance as a reminder to check-in.

Now, all I've gotten is an e-mail 5 days before the trip offering a priority check-in for $10

Maybe this is the new thing they've mentioned?

The only new thing I've noticed (last flight in October) is that children 12 and under don't have to take the shoes off.

In ONT (Ontario, CA) they still have the sign to take the liquids out of the bags.

I took Southwest last week and saw no different boarding procedures, just the business elite buy for early boarding. But maybe there was a new procedure as of Jan 1? Or perhaps they're testing something new.

The security procedures have nothing do with boarding, however.

Hmmm... maybe I didn't remember the exact words? Something new at the airport.
