redress number question

When filling out info for our American Airlines flight for Oct. I put our phone number in my husband's redress number box. He has no redress number!! I didn't notice the error until I had already sent the info. American says I have to get Delta to remove it since the beginning flight is through Delta for flights for our Princess cruise. Delta says they fixed it. But when I checked just now, it's still there. Has this happened to anyone else? Is my husband now on some watch list? Should I be worried? I'll make the phone calls again, but wondering if anyone knows if this is serious. I'm actually kind of terrified.

If you don't have a redress number there was no need to populate that field with anything, certainly not a phone number. If DL say they removed the info, then it is fixed. The fix might not show up on the website, they fixed it in their own system directly which is what matters. You can ask DL why it is still showing in your booking on their website but I would not be unduly concerned about it. Have you cleared browser history? You might not be looking at the latest updates if you haven't cleared it. No need to be worried, the redress number would have errored out anyway since it was not valid.

Thank you Odin. I'm relieved to read your response. I cleared my browser history, and the number is still there. But I'll stop worrying and obsessing over it. I didn't deliberately put our phone number there. No idea how that happened, but there it is. Thanks again for your response.

I had a similar thing happen to one of our party in a family of 5. The global entry number was put into the redress code. (this is what happens sometimes when you are doing things too fast). Once there, I couldn't remove it. American couldn't remove it. I just made sure we had extra time when we arrived at the airport. We couldn't print boarding passes in advance - we had to check in at the counter. It did take a few extra minutes, but wasn't a big deal. I would just make sure you have plenty of time on the first flight.

>>I wonder if it will be with us forever.
If it is not in his profile with DL or AA then I would guess not.

>>But when I checked just now, it's still there.

And you checked his record with both AA and DL?
