Reagan or Philadelphia Airport?

Jump to last reply

DH and I are considering a Labor Day weekend trip to the mid Atlantic states, with no particular destination in mind. We are flying from Northwest Florida on Southwest Airlines. The price is about the same whether we fly in and out of Reagan or Philadelphia. Our plan would be to rent a car and see some historic sites. We would arrive at either airport at 11:30 pm on the Thursday night, and depart on Labor Day. We have been to DC a few times, so we would not spend any time there. Neither of us has ever been to Philadelphia. Considering we don't know our way around either airport or surrounding area, and the fact that we won't arrive til 11:30 pm and will then have to pick up a rental car, which airport would you choose? Thanks for any suggestions.
