Priority Pass - Barcelona Airport
Hi
Has anyone used Priority Pass access to airport lounges at Barcelona airport?
I have been given PP along with my credit card which entitles me to use it free upto 5 times a year on any of the 600 lounges worldwide.
I was wondering how comfortable the process of accessing the lounge in Barcelona is, and how useful is it if you may have stopover in between flights extending to good part of night?
I would be arriving from Paris at night and have a longhaul flight back home next morning. It does not make sense for me to get out of the airport, go back to the city, check in to a hotel and within 3-4 hrs, start for the airport again to catch my flight back home.
Wondering if I could spend few hours in one of the lounges comfortably...

Your first consideration should be that not all lounges are open 24/7. I have not used any lounges at Barcelona so cannot say with any certainty what their hours might be. I would think that information could be gotten from a google search...?
I travel internationally a lot and I always try to 'find time' to visit the various lounges. They are usually a good place to relax, have a bite to eat, maybe a drink, or cup of coffee.

There are several hotels near the airport or at the western edge of Barcelona which usually have pretty good rates. And are easily accessible by taxi in 10-15 mins if they don't have a shuttle.
Check at booking.com or similar.

simpsonc510, yes I checked the website as shared by rkkwan (thanks!). The lounges indeed close by 10:30 PM. I might end up checking into a hotel if there is any, within the airport itself.
Cowboy1968, I think I would have too much inertia to take the luggage and do all the formalities to exit the airport just for few (4-5) hours of actual bedrest. I would be having a longhaul flight the next day morning and am anyway dreading having to sit / sleep
Guess will head to the lounge after the flight lands. Would freshen up and rest for an hour or so. Then, hoping for interesting things to do at the airport, like window shopping and finding cosy corners to sit and write my trip report

I used the lounge in the international terminal at Barcelona about 6 weeks ago and it was large and comfortable. Very small selection of snacks . Nice amount of space, pc's and tv's. Sorry didn't notice the opening times though.

Have you made sure that both flights use the new Terminal 1?
As BCN has no night flights, I doubt that there will be much open between midnight and 4 or 5 in the morning.
You may want to check the if at least one cafe or snack bar stays open 24hrs.

Smeagol, nonetheless, appreciate your response. I can safely lounge aorund for an hour or two there I guess.
Cowboy1968, yes I'd try to find out through the airport website. I'd call the helpline when I reach Spain. Worst case scenario, I'd book a room close to the airport then (still would have over 2 weeks to plan, so don't think will end up paying a bomb!)
