Points for AA flight likely to drop?

I know no one "knows", just curious if any one has seen a trend.

I'm trying to use points from Hawaii (Big Island) to Buffalo and noticed that all the AA Reward miles are for 45K the week after Christmas. I was hoping to travel on Dec 30th and thought it would be a less busy day. Do you think that the points needed will drop below 45K if I wait?

I've been watching it for the past week+ and was wondering if there was any reason to hold out hope that the points required would drop as we are so far out from the travel date.
