On Line Check In Question
This may be a stupid question. I am flying with Cathay from Vancouver to Hong Kong - I just want to confirm that the 48 hour on line check in is 48 hours from flight time in the time zone the flight is leaving from? Flight is 1:00 AM PST Sept 27 (I am in the MST zone so would be 2:00 AM MST on Sept 25)?
Thanks

Note that with some airlines, you can't change your seat after you check in (either on-line or at the airport).
Also, while DJCat can log onto the Cathay website now (if s/he has the record locator for the flight) and try to change the assigned seat, airlines usually block a number of seats and don't make them available for advance seat selection until close to the 48 hour mark. It's possible that there are no more seats available for selection now, even though there likely will be seats available when check-in starts 48 hours in advance.

I believe you need to have your AsiaMiles number attached to your reservation in order to access it on the CX website other than during the 48 hour OLCI window. You can change your seat at the end of the OLCI process.
