Olympic Airlines or Aegean?

Olympic Airlines or Aegean?
We need a flight from Istanbul to Athens in late May. Olympic has a morning flight at our preferred time but our travel insurance has negative reviews of this airline. Aegean has an early afternoon flight. Anyone have experience with either of these airlines?

Hi, I have frequently used both airlines and have been pleased with both. Aegean has a better reputation but I would go with the most convenient. I flew with Olympic in September from Corfu to Cyprus via Athens and was very impressed with the airline. I think Olympic has improved a lot from a few years ago.

Olympic Air is a new private airline that bought the logo of old Olympic state airlines. They have the best on time performance from Athens airport and excellent service. If the timings serves you better it is not a no brainer. I would go for Olympic Air rather than Aegean.
