off-peak rates for USVI?

does anyone know if the rates from PHL to STT go down after high season? we're flying on may 11, but we don't want to wait too long to reserve tix. at the same time, since off-season hotel rates start after april 14, should we wait until then to reserve plane tix?

I wouldn't wait..I'd just keep an eye on the fares. DIdn't USAIR come out with some 'sale'priced tickets? If you think the price is good, buy the tickets. Sounds like you are set on going.

Marlene,Right now US Airways fare is<BR>$401 plus taxes/fees for PHL to STT.<BR>'Carnival' for St Thomas is the last week in April so I don't know if fares will go much lower until mid/end of May.

One of our sons is a young professional who has lived in STT for a few years and we go down to see him 2-3x yr. We find that the rates get a little lower about then. Carnival is their celebration that marks the end of Tourist season. Things have been rough down there this yr and bargains are to be had. We fly out of cgo and can usually pick up a rate about 400. Sometimes Apple vacations or other groups will sell you good airfare. Right now the rates look pretty good. let me know if you need any info on restaurants, places to stay etc.
