Layover in the airport

Hi,

I find it very uncomfortable during the layover in the airport when I was flying from US to Malaysia. I tend to sleep on the chairs and also floor since I have to pay extra for the VIP room to rest.

I am wondering if most of the international airports have places to sleep during the layover. Or how do you rest or sleep during the layover? Does anyone has the same problem as me?

I try to book tickets with limited layover time, so sleeping in the airport isn't an issue.

I've never had layovers long enough that I needed to sleep in an airport.

We had an 8 hour layover in Toronto airport a few couple of months ago, not terrible but we arrived in the evening. The husband took the first 4 hours sleeping and I did the other 4, we had the kids (age 7 & 9) sleeping on the chairs, its not exceptionally comfy but it worked and they even slept through when the cleaning crew moved made a big racquet cleaning. I probably won't sleep in an airport if I am traveling alone. KUL airport (if I remembered correctly) has quite a fair bit of quiet spots.

I would never be able to sleep in an airport. If the layover was long enough, I'd spring for an airport hotel room. If not long enough for that, I'd have to pass the time reading, having a few drinks, then a meal, maybe a massage. But no way could I actually fall asleep on the chairs or benches in an arrival area or on the airport floor.

Would you carry a pillow case along with you?

I can't imagine sleeping on the floor of an airport. I would much rather pay for a day room or the lounge.

This is a most interesting thread for a first time poster.

I thought the video production was the best idea for a layover.

Why would you carry a pillow case? Do you mean carry a travel pillow? Or just the case?
