LAX T4 and Bradley Int'l connector
I'm leaving out of Bradley Int'l soon. If I check my bag at Bradley, then walk outside to T4, go through security there and walk back to Bradley via the new connector, will that work? If I had carry-on only this would, of course, be easier, but I need to check a bag. Is there pre-check at T4? I have a Global Entry card that includes pre-check. I'm flying on Lufthansa--can I use pre-check at all when I'm not flying domestically? I'm guessing getting through security at Bradley is going to be a long wait. Wondering if T4 is faster? Has anyone done this?

If your flight is on Lufthansa you won't be able to check your bag at T4, you'll need to do it at TBIT. So use your Global Entry there, and if you want to look at the T4 connector, just do it after security at TBIT.

I'm looking for a way to avoid security at TB. I'm wondering if I could check my bag at TB, walk outside to Terminal 4, go through security at Terminal 4 and then use the connector to get back to TB. Any thoughts on that plan?
Can I use pre-check at Terminal 4? Will they let me into the security line at Terminal 4 if my boarding pass is Lufthansa?
Thanks.

Pre-check requires that you are flying on a participating carrier. Lufthansa is not a participating carrier, so you are (unfortunately) out of luck and will have to clear security at TBIT.
If you were really that committed to avoiding the line, the only workaround I can think of would be to buy a fully refundable ticket on American, clear security there using that boarding pass and then process a refund at the airport. Note that I have never done this myself and, frankly, can't imagine it is at all a reasonable use of your time.

Wow, travelgourmet, you really think outside the box! I'll have to rethink traveling with non-participating airlines again. Thanks for the information. I guess I'm going to have to arrive at the airport four hours early (sigh). Thanks for the information, all.
