KLM to charge for checked bags

Jump to last reply

I read in my Dutch newspaper today that from April KLM will be charging for checked bags. As always with these things it is cheaper to buy the checked bag before check-in than at check in. €15 per bag before hand, €30 at the airport.
At the same time they are going to strictly enforce carry-on rules. Any bag which doesn't meet their 55x25x35cm 12kg rule will be put in the hold and you will be charged €30 at the gate!

Some Flying Blue members will not be charged.

I haven't seen this news on the KLM website yet but here is the news story in English: http://www.dutchnews.nl/news/archives/2013/02/klm_to_introduce_charges_for_s.php
